Investigating Cocoa

This lesson plan is designed to introduce students to the concept of fairtrade and why there is a need for the fairtrade foundation in the first place.

It will also help students to realise the many processes involved in food production.  How does a chocolate bar become a chocolate bar in the first place?  Who is involved in this?  What are their lives and work like?

This is a good lesson to use if your school is focusing on fairtrade and would be ideal for fairtrade fortnight.
