Shebbear College joins ILG

The Methodist Independent Schools Trust (MIST) today announces that Devon-based independent day and boarding school, Shebbear College, will be joining Inspired Learning Group (ILG) as one of its growing family of schools and nurseries.
This move will secure the long-term future of the school under a growing UK education group, that shares MIST’s commitment to an outstanding, values-based education.
MIST is proud that Shebbear has been a part of its family of Methodist schools and of its history for so many years. We are saddened that it will be leaving our group, but we believe that ILG is a suitable partner that will preserve its Methodist heritage and Christian ethos and ensure its future flourishing. Lake Chapel, founded in the 19th century and a key Methodist heritage building, will continue in the safekeeping of the Methodist Connexion. Now standing as part of the Lake Methodist Church, Lake Chapel is a reminder of the deep-rooted Methodist values in Shebbear.
